An Analysis of Textbook “English in Mind: Student’s Book Starter” for The 7th Year Students of Junior High School Based on Merdeka Curriculum

This study deals with analysis of textbook for the 7th year students junior high school based on latest curriculum, namely Merdeka curriculum. The purpose this was to identify material presented in as compatible grade 7 school. a qualitative descriptive study. method content analysis. data source research is English "English Mind: Student's Book Starter" published by Cambridge University Press written Herbert Puchta and Jeff Strank 2010. considered eight criteria, namely; (1) goals approach divided into two, aims objectives teaching learning situations; (2) Design organization are components package textbook; (3) Language grammar vocabulary; (4) Skills 4 listening, reading, speaking writing; (5) Topics topic subject content, social cultural values; (6) Methodology; (7) Teacher's book; (8) Practical concern. results show that fulfills all criteria.
